Where to start: understanding energy.
There’s something really empowering about learning how to work with energy for yourself first. For many people, the journey into understanding the energetic body begins with an unshakable curiosity about energy itself — and a desire to feel more connected to, and in control of, their own body again.
Reiki isn’t about being “gifted” or perfectly spiritual. It’s about becoming more connected to your intuition, your nervous system, your authentic self, and the way you move through the world. Whether you want to support others professionally or simply deepen your own healing journey, Reiki training offers practical tools you can carry with you for life.
One of the things I love most about Reiki is how grounded and adaptable it can be in real life. Some students use it while caring for loved ones in hospice or during difficult health journeys. Others incorporate it into yoga classes, massage therapy, bodywork, or existing wellness practices. Some simply use it as a daily tool to regulate their nervous system, reconnect to themselves, and create moments of calm in a very overstimulating world.
I’ve been certifying students in all levels of Reiki since 2021, and one of my favorite parts of teaching is watching people realize they’re far more capable and intuitive than they once believed. So many students come in nervous or unsure, only to leave feeling grounded, confident, and deeply connected to themselves.
People choose to get Reiki Certified for so many different reasons:
✨ personal healing
✨ spiritual growth
✨ nervous system support
✨ learning energy protection + grounding
✨ supporting loved ones
✨ incorporating it into yoga, bodywork, or other wellness careers
✨ building confidence in intuitive gifts
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Most people (myself included) begin simply because they feel called to it.
If Reiki has been showing up in your life lately, maybe this is your sign to finally explore it! Group certification classes will be back on the calendar in July, along with private 1:1 trainings. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, reach out for a free consultation.
